Etta Mae Beckett

Etta Mae Beckett, age 84, of Saline, Michigan passed away peacefully on Thursday, February 19, 2026 with her family by her side. Etta was born July 15th, 1941 to the late Bert O. and Dorothy (Spears) Warren. On August 20th 1961 she married Leon Desbrough and he preceded her in death. They had five children; the late Michelle R. Menard of Grove, Oklahoma, Denise M. (Les) Shober of Fenton, Michigan, Constance L. Hawkins of Boca Raton, Florida, Scott (Natalie) Desbrough of Ida, Michigan, Leslie Losee of Saline, Michigan, John’s children Steve (Janice) Beckett of Saline, and the late Susan Beckett-Turner. She is survived by one brother David (Helen) Warren of Hudson, Michigan, brother-in-law Ronald (Margaret) Desbrough of Saline, Michigan and several nieces and nephews. In 1983 she married the love of her life John M. Beckett and he survives. During their marriage, they had many fun adventures, travels and laughter with family and friends. If you couldn’t find them at home on Saturday or Sunday that was because they were at A&W in Dexter enjoying the sunshine and eating outside of the car! She loved her time in Florida with her husband and the many cruises that they went on with friends. She had 12 grandchildren, the late Matthew Sowers, Micah Menard, Mason Menard, Taylor (Marcello) Ramos, Chelsea Wilson, the late Mckenzie Orde, Garrett Desbrough, Brett (Liz) Losee, Brittany Losee, Warren Losee, David Beckett and Michael Turner. She also had 8 great-grandchildren which held a special place in her heart and put a twinkle in her eye. She enjoyed cooking, reading, shopping and time with her family. Her laughter and smile were infectious and touched everyone that she met. She will be greatly missed by family, friends and anyone who encountered her. Per her wishes, cremation has taken place and no services are planned. Her ashes will be inurned in the Oakwood Cemetery Mausoleum in Saline.
