Leslie Ann Harrison

We are devastated to inform everyone of Leslie Ann Harrison‘s passing. She was 69. You will truly be missed. While she dealt with some underlying health issues, nothing could prepare us for this untimely tragedy. Leslie was born in Windsor, Ontario, Canada on October 4, 1955 to the late John Rainone and the late Priscilla Rainone. Leslie was full of vitality as a child, and carried fond memories of Canada and dear friends from there to Michigan, where she married, and had a daughter. That small family of three moved about the USA together. Sacrifices and changes were made along the way. Ultimately, Michigan was where Leslie landed and called home. Leslie’s greatest joys and hobbies became her professions: acting, art (painting), fashion, ballroom, dancing, department stores, baking, jewelry design, fitness instructor, pet sitter. Leslie captivated anyone who entered her life, and if you were lucky enough, you would be left with a forever friend. And, she recognized loyalty in others, never taking advantage of others kindness, but always meeting them in the middle. She was the best kind of mother. Her exemplary spirit, fueled with kindness and trust, instilled the strength in knowing that going after those big dreams would be fruitful, and she wouldn’t get in your way. A little goofy, a little quirky, always endearing, up for an adventure, down for a quiet night in (especially with a pet), meticulously working, crafting at night, up early in the morning, with a fresh pot of coffee. Rest easy, now. Leslie is survived by husband Jim Harrison, daughter Erin (Waynetta) Harrison, sister Lori (late Mike) Rainone, sister Lisa (Wayne) Allen, and several cousins, nieces and nephews. “She was forever a work in progress a painting in the making and every year gone by was a brushstroke- another wrinkle, another scar a reflection of her long-battled journey- and though she would never be finished she was in all ways perfect now.” Atticus In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in Leslie’s honor may be made to the family, in care of Erin Harrison.
