Elizabeth L. Rentschler Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Age 88, passed away on Saturday, May 16, 2015 at the Linden Square Assisted Living Facility in Saline, MI. She was born March 6, 1927 in Ann Arbor, MI, the daughter of Oswald and Edna (Finkbeiner) Blaess. On November 24, 1945 in the Bethlehem United Church of Christ she married Alfred “Fritz” Rentschler and he survives. Together they farmed and she was a dedicated farm wife. She was a life-long member of Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Ann Arbor. Survivors include their children Donald (Mary Robison) Rentschler, Brenda (John) Finkbeiner, Lyle (Beth Ann Roughton) Rentschler. Other survivors include grandchildren, Amy Rentschler, Ryan (Natalie) Rentschler, Chad (Jillian Stallsworth) Finkbeiner, Jill (Dusty) Turner, Caryn Finkbeiner, Angela (Nic Shirey) Rentschler, Eric Rentschler, Abigail Rentschler. Her Great-Grandchildren are Blake, Nathan, Benjamin, and Christian Rentschler, and Cal and Reese Turner. Also surviving is her sister-in-law Doris Perkins, special cousins Marilyn Chester and William Gale, and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by brothers William (Geraldine Randall) and Julius (Jean Carter and Betty Scherdt) Blaess, infant sister Virginia, and nephew David Blaess. She was also preceded in death by brother and sister-in-law Laddie and Alice Boychuck, and brother-in-law Earl Perkins. Funeral Services will be held on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 at 11:00 A.M. at the Bethlehem United Church of Christ in Ann Arbor, MI, with Pastor John Kennedy officiating. In lieu of flowers memorial contributions may be made to Heartland Hospice, Bethlehem United Church of Christ, or the Alzheimer’s Association. Envelopes will be available at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline where friends may begin calling on Tuesday, May 19, 2015 between the hours of 3:00 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. and at the Church on Wednesday, May 20, 2015 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.
