Elizabeth Hope Zurawski
November 10, 1925 - December 11, 2018
Elizabeth Hope Hines Zurawski, 93, passed away on December 11, 2018, in Saline, Michigan, surrounded by her family. She lived most of her life with her beloved husband, Thaddeus Zurawski (deceased) in Clinton Township, Michigan. She was born in Traverse City, Michigan to Jess and Minnie (Bowen) Hines. She was preceded in death by her brother, Daniel (Jan) Hines. Elizabeth attended the Detroit Music Conservatory to study classical piano. She studied cosmetology and was a hair stylist for many years. She loved gardening and oil painting. Those who knew her well appreciated her dry, often outrageous, sense of humor. Unlike the rest of us who rely on modern navigational devices, she had an uncanny sense of direction, even though she hadn’t driven a car in many years. Invaluable as a back seat driver, she could really tell you where to go. Elizabeth will be lovingly remembered by her children, Douglas (Kim) Zurawski and Cheryl (Larry) Jacobsen; by her grandchildren Emily Zurawski, Jennifer King, and Chad King; and by her great-grandchildren Justin King and Stephen King. Special thanks to the StoryPoint community in Saline who were very kind and supportive. Elizabeth was very happy to call StoryPoint her home.
