Eva Malocha

July 1, 1943 - April 2, 2016

Age 72, passed away Saturday, April 2, 2016 at the University of Michigan Hospital, surrounded by many loved ones. She was born July 1, 1943 in Milan, MI the daughter of Bonifacio and Lucy Navarette. She married James Malocha on April 7, 1980 in Toledo, OH and he survives. Survivors in addition to her husband, James, include; two sons, Steven Griffin of Brownstown and Jeffrey Griffin of Belleville, a daughter, Jennifer Malone of Ypsilanti, seven brothers, Adon Navarette of Urbana, IL, Johnny Alvarez of TN, Larry Navarette, Mauro Alvarez, Raymon Alvarez, David Alvarez, Cristino Alvarez, and sister, Bertha Alvarez of Defiance, OH, as well as a sister, Margareta Taylor of Saline, MI. She is also survived by her five grandchildren; Dustin, Anthony, Xavier, Tianah and Anne, and by her great-grandson, Jude. She was a caretaker and lover of children for much of her life, continuing to care for them until her final weeks. A small Memorial Gathering of family and friends will be held on Friday, April 8, 2016 at 4:00 P.M. at the Arbor Meadows Clubhouse in Ypsilanti where Eva resided.
