Frosene VanDyke

Frosene VanDyke, 76, of St. Louis, MO passed away peacefully on Tuesday, April 5, 2022. Frosene was born on September 15, 1945 to the late Angelo Galakatos and Cleopatra (Ellis) Galakatos. Frosene is survived by her two children, Stacy (Edward) Chermol of Philadelphia, PA and Jeffrey (Elke) VanDyke of Ann Arbor, MI; as well as her five adoring grandchildren, Nicholas, Noelle and Michael Chermol, and Christopher and Brooke VanDyke. She is also survived by her brothers Andrew and George (Priscilla) Galakatos, as well as many aunts and uncles whom she cherished. Frosene devoted her life to her children and made the loving decision to stay with them at home until they moved on to college. She then earned her real estate license and was a successful agent in the Pittsburgh area. A few years later, she pursued her dream of earning her degree as a physical therapy assistant. She cherished this role as it enabled her to help hundreds of seniors regain their independence. Although she loved her career, in time she made the selfless decision to care for her mother and father when they were unable to care for themselves. No matter where she was or how much time she had, she treasured her time with her grandchildren, and her precious little puppy, Zoey. Family and friends are invited to celebrate Frosene’s life on Friday, April 15, 2022 at the St. Nicholas Church 4967 Forest Park Ave, St. Louis, MO 63108 with services starting at 9:00 A.M. Following the service, burial will take place in the St. Matthew’s Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in her name may be made to St. Nicholas Greek Orthodox Church.
