    Luella L. Weidmayer

    August 6, 1927 - March 21, 2016

    Age 88, was called Home to be with her Lord and Savior Jesus Christ on Monday, March 21, 2016 at The Legacy Assisted Living Facility in Jackson, MI. She was born on August 6, 1927, the daughter of Alfred and Frieda (Furthmueller) Weber. She married Alvin R. Weidmayer, January 11, 1947 in the Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church, and they have celebrated 69 years of devotion and happiness together. Luella was a homemaker all of her life. She was also a very loving and caring wife, mother, grandmother, and great-grandmother. Luella was always thinking of others and showing her love by lending a helping hand to family and friends. She enjoyed visiting the sick and shut in, gardening and flowers, sewing, quilting, and had an open door to all. She was very involved in LWML, Lutheran Child & Family Services and belonged to the Washtenaw County Farm Bureau. Luella was longtime member of St. Thomas Lutheran Church. She is survived by her husband Alvin, and their children and families; Daughter Dianne (Jim) Haab, of Chelsea, MI, son Neil (Kim) of Ann Arbor, MI, and his family Brian (Mindy) Sarah, Megan, and Michael of Blissfield, MI, Jeff (Elissa) Grace and Evan of Ann Arbor, MI, Christy and Scott of Ann Arbor, MI. Son, John (Renee) of Clayton, MI, and family Nicole (Mike) Gabriel, and Oliviana Timmer of Hudsonville, MI, Shelly Weidmayer of Rochester, MI, Jeremiah (Erinn) of Grandville, MI. Son, Roy (Kay) of Manchester, MI and family Nicholas (Sara) Caleb, and Eden of Manchester, MI, Jill (Justin) Wahl, Ginger and Abbie of Manchester, MI, Natalie (Ryan) Rentschler, Blake, Nathan, Christian, and Benjamin of Ann Arbor, MI, Candice (Jamie) Stevens, Bradley of Manchester, MI. Son, Mark and the late (Gail) Holleran of Manchester, MI, and son the late Carl Weidmayer. She is also survived by her loving sister Esther (George) Bock, loving sister-in-law Irma Weidmayer, and many nieces and nephews. Luella was preceded in death by her parents, and her brother Paul Weber. Funeral Services will take place on Saturday, March 26, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at the St. Thomas Lutheran Church in Ann Arbor, MI, with Pastor Carl DeMeritt Jr. officiating. Burial will take place following the service in the St. Thomas Lutheran Church Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions in memory of mom may be made to the St. Thomas Lutheran Church Handicapped Access Fund, or to the Lutheran Woman’s Missionary League. Envelopes will be available at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline where friends may begin calling on Friday, March 25, 2016 between the hours of 2:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again at the Church on Saturday, March 26, 2016 from 10:00 until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.
