Mark David Mieras Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Age 48, passed away on Tuesday, November 6, 2012 at the University of Michigan Hospital in Ann Arbor, MI. Mark was born on August 22, 1964 in Jackson, MI, the son of David and Jill (Freeland) Mieras. He graduated from Saline High School in 1982 and was employed as a technician at R & B Machine Tool in Saline, Balance Technology in Ann Arbor and, most recently, at Chelsea Milling Company in Chelsea. Mark was an avid fisherman, deer and turkey hunter and loved boating and gourmet cooking. Survivors include a daughter, Jena Mieras of Clinton, his parents David and Jill Mieras of Ann Arbor, brother Dale Mieras of Senatobia, Mississippi, niece Rachael Mieras of Hudson, and fiancé, Luan Rzepka of Bronson, Michigan. Other survivors include uncles Denny (Linda) Mieras, Don Mieras, Kent (Lucille) Freeland, Joe (Madeline) Parker, Jim (Sharon) Parker, aunts, Judy (Malcolm) Hearl, Janet (Arthur Preston) Danklefsen, Betty Freeland, and many cousins. Mark was preceded in death by his paternal grandparents, Harry and Gladys Mieras, maternal grandparents, Glen Freeland, Dorothy and Lester Parker, uncle Alan Freeland, and cousins Dan, Linda, and Jeffrey Mieras. He will be remembered by his many friends for his humor, wit, and willingness to help others. Funeral Services will take place on Monday, November 12, 2012, at 11:00 A.M. at the First United Methodist Church in Saline with Rev. Dr. James E. Tuttle and Rev. Laura Speiran officiating. Cremation will take place following the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Matt Tergman Benefit Fund, Farmers State Bank, Grass Lake, MI 49240. Envelopes will be available at the Church where friends may begin calling on Sunday, November 11, 2012, between the hours of 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and at the Church on Monday, November 12, 2012, from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.
