Age 83, passed away on Monday, December 1, 2014 at home, with her family by her side. She was born May 12 ,1931 in Muskegon, MI, the daughter of Robert and Helen (Bates) McCauley. On February 26, 1949 in Muskegon Heights, MI, she married William H. Burmeister and he survives. Mildred loved gardening, crafts, traveling, cooking, and watching all the different birds at their birdfeeder. Her favorite time of the year was Christmas, and she would always spend Christmas Eve with her family. She loved to decorate for the holidays, but most of all she loved just spending time with her husband Bill, their children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. Survivors in addition to her husband include their children: Terry (Pat) Burmeister, William (Jennifer) Burmeister, Debra (Thomas) Komorowski, and Daniel (Dawn) Burmeister, Grandchildren: Catherine (Matt) Loera, Terry Lee (Andrea) Burmeister, Andrew (Cindy) Burmeister, Elizabeth Burmeister, William (Jessica) Burmeister, Samuel (Caitlyn) Burmeister, Benjamin (Michelle) Burmeister, Nathaniel (Ona-Marie) Burmeister, Hannah (Mason) McDonald, Leah, Margaret, and Miriam Burmeister, Jonathan Komorowski, Christina (Andrew) Rundle, Bailey Burmeister, Heidi (Kurt) Hochrein, and Michelle (Tim) Steffey. Other survivors include Great-Grandchildren: Dominik and Natasha Burmeister, Philip, Lindsey, Claire and Landon Burmeister, June and Aaron Loera, Evelyn Rundle, Veronica Hochrein and Kyle Steffey, and her sister-in-law Mary McCauley. Mildred was preceded in death by her parents, and siblings: Gareld (Gus) McCauley, Dorothy (Frank) Gerencer, Shirley (Tracy) Berg, Donald McCauley, and Barbara (Bob) Padecky. Funeral Services will take place on Friday, December 5, 2014 at 11:00 A.M. at the Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church in Saline, with Rev. Mark H. Smith and Rev. William F. Natsis officiating. Burial will follow at the Oakwood Cemetery in Saline. Memorial contributions may be made to the church. Envelopes will be available at the church where friends may begin calling on Thursday, December 4, 2014 between the hours of 3:00 P.M. to 5:00 P.M. and 6:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. and again on Friday, December 5, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M.
