    Mildred Emma Stoll

    August 26, 1920 - February 14, 2018

    Mildred Emma Stoll 97, of Manchester, Michigan passed away peacefully on Wednesday, February 14, 2018 at the University of Michigan Hospital after a brief illness. Mildred was born on August 26, 1920 to Samuel and Emma (Haas) Bauer in Freedom Township, MI. On August 23, 1947 she married Paul Stoll and he preceded her in death on March 25, 1957. She worked as a Rosie the Riveter at the bomber plant at Willow Run during World War II and retired as a custodian at the Manchester Public Schools. Mildred was a lifelong member of St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bridgewater, the Manchester Senior Citizens, and the Freedom Extension Group. She is survived by her sons, Harvey and Gary Stoll; grandsons, Nathan (Heather) Stoll and Adam (Sara) Stoll; great-grandsons Jamison and Eli. Also survived by Goddaughter Betty Weidmayer, many nieces, nephews, and cousins. In addition to her parents and husband, Mildred was preceded in death by grandson David, siblings, Lucile Weidmayer and Raymond Bauer. Family will receive friends on Monday, February 19, 2018 from 4:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, February 20, 2018 at 11:00 A.M. at St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church in Bridgewater with a viewing starting at 10:00 A.M. Pastor Drexel Morton will be officiating the service. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to St. John’s Evangelical Lutheran Church or Manchester Senior Citizens and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
