Ronald C. Skelly Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Age 64, passed away on Monday, December 30, 2013 at his home after a long battle with early onset Alzheimer’s disease. He was born September 24, 1949 in Madison, WI, the son of Robert and Irene (Maki) Skelly. On March 24, 1973 at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church in Scio Twp., he married Kathleen M. Herter and she survives. Ron was a member of Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church and he loved going up north to the family cabin and fly-fishing. In addition to his wife, other survivors include his son, Ryan (Linsey) Skelly, daughters, Renae (Neal) McConnell and Rachelle (Marcus) Richards, grandchildren, Henry, Noelle and Easton Richards, Chloe and Reese McConnell and Manessah, Eilan and Isabel Skelly, his brother-in-law, Larry (Leslie) Herter, two nieces, Courtney (Ryan) Roark and Kacie Herter, his close friends, Tom and Carol Hanselman and his dog, Zoey. Ron was preceded in death by his parents. Visitation will be held on Friday, January 3, 2014 from 4:00-8:00 P.M. and on Saturday, January 4, 2014 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the service at 11:00 A.M. at Salem Evangelical Lutheran Church 7474 Scio Church Rd. in Scio Twp. with Pastor Douglas Hartley, officiating. Burial will follow the service in the church cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the Church and to the Alzheimer’s Association and envelopes will be available at the church.
