Sara Jane Young Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Sara “Sally” Jane Young (McManama) of Pittsfield Township, Michigan passed away peacefully on Monday, March 28, 2016. She was born in Woodstock, VT on December 17, 1926 and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from College of St. Rose in Albany, NY in 1949. Sally practiced nursing for nearly 50 years. On June 23, 1956 Sally married William Young Jr. who survives her along with their six children; Mary Irene Brooks (Scott), Catherine Jane Young, Lorraine Ellen Griffith, Charles William Young (Deanna), Edward Lawrence Young and Kathleen Marie Young. Sally is also survived by seven grandchildren; Sara and Michael Brooks; Grace, William and Benjamin Young; Anthony and Patricia Griffith and two great-grandchildren; Zachary and Lillian Williams. Cremation has taken place. A Mass of the Christian Burial will take place on Monday, April 4, 2016 at 11:00 A.M. at St. Andrew the Apostle Catholic Church in Saline with Rev. Fr. Francis Mossholder as Celebrant. Burial will take place in the St. Thomas Catholic Cemetery in Ann Arbor, MI, at a later date. Visitation will be held on Thursday, March 31, 2016 at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline between the hours of 4:30 P.M. and 8:00 P.M. and again at the Church on Monday, April 4, 2016 from 10:00 A.M. until the time of service at 11:00 A.M. A Rosary Service will be held on Thursday, March 31 at the funeral home at 7:30 P.M.
