Virginia L. Tobias Obituary - Visitation & Funeral Information

Age 94, passed away at her home on Friday, January 13, 2012. She was born June 23, 1917 in Ann Arbor, the daughter of Conrad and Flossie (Allen) Schoenhals. On September 4, 1937 at Bethlehem United Church Of Christ in Ann Arbor, she married Elmer Tobias and he preceded her in death on September 20, 1990. Virginia taught classes for Ann Arbor Adult Education, Ann Arbor Women’s City Club and the Ann Arbor Y.M.C.A. Besides her family Virginia had many interests; flower gardening, sewing, basket weaving, and china painting were at the top of her list. Survivors include her children, Thomas (Julia) Tobias, Marilyn (Ernie) Weaver, Barbara Lopez, Linda Hopkins, Jackie (Fred) Reimold, Diane Banks and Timothy Tobias, Fourteen grandchildren, twenty-one great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, daughter, Janet Tobias, parents, grand-daughter, Deborah Tobias Kolander and brother, Earl Schoenhals. Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, March 31, 2012 at 1:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline with Pastor Douglas Strader, officiating. Visitation will be on Saturday, March 31, 2012 from 12:00 Noon until the time of the service.
