Betty Jo Garner

Betty Jo Garner, age 71, of Saline, Michigan passed away on the morning of Monday, December 4, 2023 with family by her side. Betty was born December 18, 1951 in Kentucky to the late Mendel and Reatha Hymer. She is survived by her former husband William “Bill” Garner with whom they’ve raised 5 children: Marie Gonzalez (Anastacio), William Garner (Gail), Lisa Street, Kimberly Garner, and Lindsey Eldridge. She is survived by her 12 grandchildren: Michael Gonzalez, Veronica Gonzalez (Corey), Hailey Garner, Megan Garner, Christopher Suer, Tabatha Galvan, Antonio Galvan, Brandon Galvan, Julia Garner, Chelsea Kampf (Jake), Dre’dan Dixson, Avery Eldridge; 6 great-grandchildren Colson Brockman, Braxton Brockman, Joselynn Cooper-Galvan, Amelia Fee, Serenity Galvan, Mahoja Galvan; siblings Brenda Brooks and Cecil Hymer; nieces Kim Brooks and Lisa Griggs. She joins her late brother Allen and her late dogs Skylar and Charlie. One of her favorite pastimes was venturing up north and visiting different lighthouses looking for cardinals along the way. She lived for fall drives watching the autumn colors paint the world and welcomed the different seasons. She was a music connoisseur always grooving with music, as long as there was a beat she was moving. She wanted her grandbabies to have everything. She loved who they were and who they became and was proud of their accomplishments and supportive of their passions. Her children will always be her first love, bringing her tremendous joys throughout life. Her family was her everything and her love was endless. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Sunday, December 10th from 1:00 P.M. to 6:00 P.M. at the Robison-Bahnmiller Funeral Home in Saline. Visitation will continue on Monday, December 11th from 10:00 A.M. until the time of Funeral Service at 11:00 A.M. Pastor Drex Morton will officiate the service. Burial will follow the service and will be held in the Macon Township Cemetery in Macon Township, MI. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to the family, care of her daughter Marie Gonzalez, and envelopes will be available at the funeral home.
