Bruce Armin Haeussler

Bruce Armin Haeussler, age 75, passed away on Thursday, December 25, 2025. Bruce was born on August 18, 1950, the son of Armin and Lola (Pfeifle) Haeussler. He married the love of his life, Shirley Egeler on February 22nd, 1975. Bruce and Shirley celebrated 50 years together. They were blessed with two daughters; Marie (Mike) Cornell and Laura (Mike) Finkbeiner. The joys of his life were his grandchildren, Lola and Ross Finkbeiner. Nieces and nephews include; Brian (Karen) Haeussler, Patti (Eric) Kobeck, Doug Bihlmeyer; Stephanie (Rick) Armstrong, Breanne (Ben) Neubauer, Skylar Haeussler; Brandon (Kirsten), Mae, Molly Haeussler, Laura, Hillary, and Alana Haeussler; Brittany (Rob) Kobliska, Zach Kobeck; Gabe (Isoke) Gallegos, Sam, Isabella, and Ben Gallegos. Also surviving are his brother-in-law Larry Egeler and sisters-in-law Margaret Egeler and Nancy Egeler Gallegos. He was preceded in death by his parents Armin and Lola Haeussler; his brothers Peter (Sharon), Hugh (Sandy), and Ross Haeussler; and his in-laws Paul and Erma Egeler. Bruce was a mechanic for General Motors at the Willow Run plant for 30 years, all while running a farm in Freedom Township. He was an active participant in Bethel United Church of Christ where he served on the church board, cemetery committee and sang in the choir. Bruce enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren, family, and friends. He loved hunting, fishing and horseback riding, which always involved family, friends and neighbors, who were like family. He also loved spending relaxing Sundays at the lake house. Throughout retirement he traveled the country on many adventures with his wife, friends, and traveling groups. Friends may join the family for a time of visitation on Tuesday, December 30th, 2025 from 3:00 P.M. to 7:00 P.M. at Bethel United Church of Christ, 10425 Bethel Church Road, Manchester, MI. Visitation will continue on Wednesday, December 31st at Bethel Church from 10:00 A.M. until the time of the Memorial Service at 11:00 A.M. Dr. Rev. David Bucholtz to officiate. Following the service, a luncheon will be held at the Church.
