Kenneth "Kenny" Brent Kuhn

Kenneth Brent Kuhn, age 61, of Saline, Michigan, passed away unexpectedly in a snowmobiling accident on Saturday, January 3, 2026. He was born July 29, 1964, to the late Arthur K. Kuhn and the late Carolyn M. Kuhn, and grew up in Romulus. On July 10, 2021, he married Susan (Beitz, Reyst) Kuhn, with whom he lovingly spent the past 25 years. Kenny, as he was affectionately known, was a gifted mechanic, contractor, and true all-around handyman—someone who could fix just about anything and was always your first call when you needed help. To the many people who knew him, he was dependable, generous with his time, and never hesitated to lend a hand. He loved camping with his family, snowmobiling with the Donkey Riders, and watching Detroit sports, motocross, and Jeopardy. Kenny enjoyed his long walks to the barn and cherished the peace and simplicity of country life shared with his wife. Adventurous and hardworking, he moved through the world with quiet strength and selflessness. He was one of a kind and will be greatly missed. Kenny is survived by his wife, Susan; his children, Aaron Kuhn, Ryan Kuhn, Emily Reyst, and Alexa (Reyst) Kopytko; his daughter-in-law, Steffanie Bulmer; his son-in-law, Nolan Kopytko; his father- and mother-in-law, Larry and Gertrude Beitz; and his grandchild, Aspen Kuhn. He is also survived by his siblings, Brenda (Kuhn) Osborne and Lynda (Kuhn) Fitzhugh and her husband, Brian Fitzhugh, as well as many nieces and nephews. A Celebration of Life will be held on Friday, January 23, 2026, from 3:00 P.M. to 8:00 P.M. at the Ypsilanti Freighthouse, 100 Market Place, Ypsilanti, MI 48198. A Memorial Service for Kenny will take place at 6:00 P.M. Please Note: Parking is available at the Frog Island Parking Lot. Smoking is prohibited on the premises, including the patio. Kenny was most comfortable in a pair of jeans. Please feel free to wear casual attire to his Celebration of Life.
