Rose Carol Toth

Rose Carol Toth died peacefully on February 25, 2026 at the age of 87. She is preceded in death by her cherished husband, Ted Toth and her beloved daughters, Susan Toth Bernard and Karen Climer. She is survived by her adored children Douglas (Sue) Toth and Peggy (David) Galimberti. She also leaves behind her 7 grandchildren (Andy and Anjela Galimberti; Joe, Danny, and Michael Toth; and Melaina and Brooklyn Climer)- all of whom she loved with her whole heart. Rose Carol was born on November 29, 1938 in Detroit, and grew up in Allen Park, MI. In 1960 she married the love of her life, Ted Toth, and the couple moved to Saline, MI—a community she would come to treasure and serve for decades. Together, they turned theater into a family affair as Rose Carol was a founding member and former President of the Saline Area Players while Ted designed the sets and their children joined them on stage. Rose Carol’s love for acting began at just five years old, singing and dancing in Hungarian community productions alongside her father. This early spark ignited a lifelong passion; she became a proud member of the Screen Actor’s Guild, appearing in films, television commercials, and magazine ads. Professionally, Rose Carol served others as a Psychiatric Nurse for many years. In retirement, she remained active as a Parish Nurse at St. Paul United Church of Christ, traveling and singing with the Gospel choir and cherishing time with her many friends. Her community leadership also extended to her time as Chairperson of the Saline Celtic Festival and active participation in the St. Paul UCC church community. While she often called acting her "first love," Rose Carol was quick to say her all-time favorite role was that of “Mom” and "Granny." She was a woman of constant smiles and renowned cooking who brightened every room she was in. Her compassionate nature and generous heart were the foundation of her family. Rose Carol was a loving, caring person who left a beautiful mark on the world and in the lives of all who met her. She is well-known for her wonderful cooking, her kind and generous nature, and above all, for her love of family. Rose Carol’s calming presence and unconditional love will be greatly missed in this world by all who know her. A Memorial Service will be held in her honor at St. Paul United Church of Christ (122 W. Michigan Ave in Saline) on Saturday, April 4, 2026. Visitation will be at 11:00 A.M. with the service starting at 12:00 Noon. Pastor Jim Coran will officiate the service. A luncheon will also follow the service and will be held at the Church.
